So dear freinds...loved ones all...one of my long time mentees hipped me to this blogger website as a cool way to send updates to friends and loved ones. I thought I'd take advantage of it as a way to keep you all updated with all that is going on in my life.

It's been nearly two months since I first landed in the sunny state of South Carolina..."South Cakky Lakky" as they say down this way. From starting a new job to buying a new car, settling into a new home, and finally at long last getting my things out of storage in Atlanta after three years, I can say, I am settling in rather nicely. My job at Claflin University is great! My students are wonderful as are my collegues. I love living only 30 minutes from the ocean...(I finally got there on Thursday of this past week --- Isle of Palms --- one of the lovely low country islands connected by bridges to Charleston.) My plate is full with tons of work, projects, student papers, and the remnants of cranky, complaining students from American University, pissing about their final grades...But how can one be too sour, upset, or unnerved by much when the fall temperatures have barely dropped down to 70 degrees. It's been sunny and lovely most days.

I am meeting a few new friends and my neighbors, who are all nice folk. All in all, this has been a good move. So here is my new info at home and work:
